District Handover a Huge Success
A historic handover of the district leadership from Gov. Renato “Ato” Magadia to DGE Edgardo “Boyet” Limon was performed on June 5 at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Intercon which was jam-packed with outgoing club presidents and incoming club presidents, outgoing district officers and incoming district officers, past district governors and many more including the “Dream Team” classmates of Gov. Boyet.

The ceremonies, held three and a half weeks ahead of June 30, signaled the start of a new era in the District under the RI Theme for RY 2008-2009: “Make Dreams Real”. The Handover ceremony’s theme was aptly entitled “ Handog sa Kabataan, Handog sa Kalikasan, Handog sa Kinabukasan” in synchrony with the RI thrust.
In his valedictory address, Gov. Ato called on the Sharing Presidents to support the new leadership and continue the crusade for good governance in Rotary.
Gov. Boyet promised that his term will be devoted to “giving the best of myself, and while working with you, to meet the expectations of the communities that we are serving. We will do our level best to create a better world for the children of the New Generation”.
