RAC District 3830 holds First PeSeTS
The Rotaract District 3830 Committee, successfully conducted the first ever Presidents-elect and Secretaries-elect Training Seminar (PeSeTS) last June 1 at Mary Mount School in BF Homes, Paranaque City.
Incoming club presidents and secretaries of 18 Rotaract Clubs participated in the whole day training seminar where they were oriented on their roles and responsibilities and were taught to develop annual plans for their Clubs.
In line with 2008-2009 Rotary International theme “Make Dreams Real”, the training focused on “Making Dreams Real –the Rotaract Way” as expounded by its special guest D3830 Incoming Senior Assistant Governor (SAG) for Operations, Alex Yague. Also gracing the event were, Incoming Coordinating Chair for Youth Service Committee Vhell Arias, District Interact Chair Jojo Josol, District PR Chair Tony Chong, District Rotaract Chair Lilibeth De La Cruz, Presidents-Elect Marissa Saludo, Yolly Yorro, Sharing President Mars Jison and Rotarian Ju Abdulcadir.
District 3810 Senior Deputy Governor (SDG) for District Affairs and former Rotaractor Edison “Magic” Ong talked on “ Rotaract in the Rotary Family” focusing on the partnership between Rotarians and Rotaractors and the programs that RI has for the youth. D3810 District Rotaract Representative (DRR) Melchor “Chok” Encabo talked about the “Roles and Responsibilities of Club Officers” and shared his personal experiences as a Rotaract club officer, while D3830 District Rotaract Representative-Elect (DRRE) Cathy Gonzales facilitated sessions on Goal Setting and Annual Planning.

On the sidelights, outgoing DRR Joannie Sitoy facilitated the recognition of the eight Clubs that received the RI Presidential Citation. The Rotaract Club of Paranaque East-Paragon, which was also awarded as the Most Outstanding Rotaract Club of the Year, led Rotaract Clubs of KAPWA, Makati, Palanyag, Paseo de Roxas, Tuloy sa Don Bosco, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, and Youth Media Network Philippines. RAC Makati and RAC RCPM – KAPWA were also awarded as Outstanding Clubs.
Culminating the event was a simple turn over ceremony of the DRR leadership from DRR Joannie Sitoy to DRRE Cathy Gonzales.
