THE ROTARY CLUB OF MUNTINLUPA 29TH INDUCTION CEREMONY
Last August 26, 2009 the Rotary Club of Muntinlupa achieved another milestone in its colorful history with the induction of its new set of officers led by SVP Lita Santos at the Palms Country Club in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The theme for the night was a Hawaiian Luau so many RCM members and guests arrived in flowery shirts and dresses, complemented by beautiful leis. Entertainment came in many forms. A group of youth Interactors performed a number of Polynesian dances in costume. Not to be outdone, the Club’s own male vocal group known as “Lost Voces” (ie. CP Resty Santos, PP Mar De Leon and PP Ruben Valenzuela) serenaded the crowd with a medley of Elvis Pressley Hawaiian ballads. Even the RCM “Wondergirls” did a catchy song and dance number in honor of the new Club President Lita. Even the guests got to join in the fun by learning how to “line dance” to the beat of “Achy Breaky Heart”.
After a sumptuous buffet dinner, District Governor Sid Garcia delivered his address wherein he challenged the Club to be more aggressive particularly in its recruitment of new members. He also made special mention of the Rotary Community Corps program wherein the Club is encouraged to adopt a community on which to focus its assistance projects.
Other highlights of the evening included :
- Governor’s Visit

- Past District Governor Guiller Tumangan who charged the new set of Officers and Directors to achieve “GREAT”ness in the coming year
– District Governor Sid Garcia inducted the new set of Officers and Directors. Past District Governor Jimmy Cura who charged the four (4) new members of the RCM
- SVP Lita Santos inducted the 4 new members
- Past District Governor Sonny Coloma who honored us with his presence
