MAFSAFI Holds 10th Fire Safety Compliance Awards
The Makati Fire Safety Foundation, Inc. (MAFSAFI) conducted its 10th Annual Fire Safety Compliance Awards last month in observance of Fire Prevention Month, which is marked every year in March.
The awards ceremonies were held at the Session Hall of the Makati City Hall on the 3rd of April, with Pres. Pepito Bengzon and PP Cesar Campos, a trustee of MAFSAFI, representing the club.
Makati Social Welfare Chief Marjorie de Veyra, who substituted for Mayor Jejomar Binay, and Dir. Enrique Linsangan, chief of the Bureau of Fire Protection, handed out plaques of appreciation to the winners, while PP Cesar delivered the closing remarks.

RC Makati is a founding member of the Foundation which included the City of Makati and the Makati Commercial Estate Association, Inc. (MaCEA), the association of buildings and enterprises in the MCBD. It is chaired by Mayor Jojo Binay.
The awards, which cover buildings in Makati’s business districts under three categories—Fire Safety Compliance with 49 awardees, including two in the 5-star group; Building Fire Brigades, with 35; and Corporate Fire Safety with 30 recipients.
